How group emdr works
You can move forward from this.
Group EMDR is an evidence-based method to prevent psychological trauma and instill resiliency and resourcing skills after a traumatic incident. When implemented soon after the event, it can significantly reduce the risk of development of PTSD symptoms. It is an introspective method and therefore participants do not have to talk about their experiences out loud.
Participants will have the opportunity to…
Feel relief
Resolve confusion about the event
Organize their thoughts and beliefs about what happened
Work introspectively without being asked or required to share anything out loud
Learn grounding resourcing skills for stabilization
Go home with more coping skills
